The main purpose of this Recommendation is to define means by which interface impedance may be measured, rather than to describe procedures for pre-processing, stabilizing and operating the tubes or valves to be measured. General measurement conditions are outlined and the measuring equipment and its performance are detailed. The calibration procedure and operating procedures are described. In the Appendices A to F various measuring methods are dealt with.
