This standard specifies the 136HS Outdoor MAC layer procedures used at the radio interface ace for a 200 kHz channel used exclusively as a packet traffic channel (PTCH), launched from a 30 kHz packet control channel, PCCH. The section numbering in this standard mirrors the section numbering in GSM 04.60. TIA/EIA-136-332 specifies the normative procedures used on a 30 kHz packet control channel, PCCH, for broadcast control signalling, MS camping, paging and MS access. TIA/EIA-136-933 provides an informative description of these same procedures. TIA/EIA-136-335 specifies the procedures used on a 30 kHz packet control channel, PCCH, for assigning MSs to a 200 kHz PTCH.
