The standard describes a flame atomic absorption spectrometric and a polarographic method for the determination of the ''soluble'' cadmium content of paints, varnishes and related products. The methods are applicable to products having ''soluble'' cadmium contents in the range of about 0,05 to 5% (m/m). They are intended for use in connection with ISO 6713.
