The document is part of a series of standards which specify a set of test to evaluate X.25 Data Terminal Equipment (X.25 DTE) conformance to DIN ISO/IEC 7776:1996 and ISO/IEC 8208:1990. The tests suites also contain test cases pertaining to X.25 where CCITT either recommends or allows behaviour deviating from ISO. The document specifies the general principles of X.25 conformance testing.
