This manual contains guidelines for maintaining precast concrete parking structures. It is common for avariety of nonprecast materials such as cast-in-place concrete, steel, and masonry, to be incorporatedinto precast concrete parking structures. Most guidelines contained in this manual are generally applicableto nonprecast materials and systems. However, some of the nonprecast components may require maintenanceprocedures that are not covered in this manual. In addition, mechanical/electrical, security, andrevenue control systems, elevators, and other nonstructural systems have specific maintenance requirementsthat are typically developed by the manufacturer or supplier. These additional requirements shouldbe incorporated into the facility's maintenance program.
