This standard specifies methods of testing for rating flow and pressure characteristics of solenoid valves intended for continuous duty service using liquid as a test fluid, including the valve flow coefficient (Cv/Kv) for comparison of valve capacity.This standard is not applicable to hydraulic fluid power valves, for which different methods of test and rating, presented in standards developed by NFPA and ISO/TC 131, are accepted and used throughout the fluid power industry.
