The present document defines the Layer 1 transport channels and physical channels used for family G of the satellite component of UMTS (S-UMTS-G).It is based on the FDD mode of UTRA defined by TS 125 201 [4], TS 125 211 [5], TS 125 302 [6] and TS 125 435 [7] and adapted for operation over satellite transponders.
