The present document describes spreading and modulation for the Physical Layer for family G of the satellitecomponent of UMTS (S-UMTS-G).It is based on the FDD mode of UTRA defined by TS 125 211 [1], TS 125 212 [2], TS 125 213 [3], TS 125 214 [4] and adapted for operation over satellite transponders.
