ETSI TS 102 818 defines the XML schema data model for Service and Programme Information (SPI) and methodsfor delivery by broadcast digital radio - DAB and DRM - and IP.In respect to previous versions of the present document, hybrid radio provisions have been added to allow a seamlessexperience for users when consuming radio services delivered by digital radio broadcasting systems (DAB, DRM) or IPor a combination of both. The use of the present document allows content to be created once by the service provider fordelivery by both mechanisms and allows manufacturers to implement devices with many common elements.
It is envisaged that this data format could be used both for transmitting service and schedule data to SPI applications ondevices and as the basis for exchanging information between service providers, network operators and contentproviders.
