Full Description
ETSI TS 105 175-1-2 provides a description of an OSI physical networking layer to communicate data over plasticoptical fibre at 100 Mbit/s and 1 000 Mbit/s. A full duplex physical layer is described.Multi data type interface is proposed, as well as its encapsulation, coding and modulation needed to achieve 1 Gbit/slink over a bandwidth limited optical channel like the plastic optical fibre. Multiple link speeds are handled by thisphysical layer.
