The present document has been produced to help an ETSI Technical Committee to produce a Harmonised Standard aimed at providing a presumption of conformity of radio equipment with the essential requirements in articles 3.1(b) and 3.2 of the Radio Equipment Directive (Directive 2014/53/EU) [i.1].Essential requirements are high level objectives described in European Directives. The purpose of the Harmonised Standard is to translate those high level objectives into detailed technical specifications.
The present document does not cover the production of Harmonised Standards covering article 3.1(a) of Directive 2014/53/EU [i.1] which is the responsibility of CENELEC and article 3.3 which requires delegated acts by the European Commission (EC).
