The present document describes the Diameter based interface between the Machine Type Communications-InterWorking Function (MTC-IWF) and the Short Message Service-Service Centre (SMS-SC) for communications withpacket data networks and applications.This specification defines the Diameter application for the T4 reference point between the MTC-IWF and the SMS-SC.The interactions between the MTC-IWF and the SMS-SC are specified.
The stage 2 description for communications with packet data networks and applications (architecture and functionality)is specified in the 3GPP TS 23.682 [2].
