This standard creates definitions and performance criteria for consumer technology that measures heart rate (HR). This standard was produced to examine performance of devices that measure continuousHR. Participant characteristics, test conditions, and protocols were chosen to include a range of conditions that allow for examination of HR from devices utilizing varying techniques.
