This specification defines the performance requirements of adhesive foam tapes used for exterior automotive applications. The tapes have one side with a pressure sensitive adhesive and one side with either pressure sensitive or heat activatable adhesive, specially designed to bond to rubber materials. The pressure sensitive adhesive side is protected by either release paper or polymer liner.

The tapes may be used in combination with a suitable primer which would be specified separately on the Engineering drawing.
