Also covers selection of the various buoyancy aids and their care. Sets out requirements for safety harnesses and lines for use by yachtsmen and other boat users. Specifies general design requirements, constructional requirements, test methods and requirements for individual components, together with a performance test and labeling requirements for the finished article.
