Full Description

This Standard is designed to describe the performance evaluation test procedure for the product specificchallenge testing of full scale UF and MF membrane modules, bag filters, and cartridge filters for theremoval of microbial contaminants. This Standard provides procedures to develop challenge testing LogRemoval Values (LRVC_TEST), as required in the EPA's Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water TreatmentRule (LT2ESWTR) published in 40 CFR 141-subpart W.

Evaluation of cleaning, maintenance and operation of the filtration equipment are not covered under thescope of this Standard.
