Full Description

This specification covers the requirement for nitrogen tetroxide (N₂O₄) solution, also known as oxidizer solution (OS) recovered from propellant systems. N₂O₄ solution is actually a blend of N₂O₄, nitric acid (HNO₃), and water (H₂O). This specification provides a means of categorizing recovered propellants for either reclamation for alternate reuse or for reprocessing to original manufacturing purity.
