Full Description

In April 1996, the Las Vegas Valley Water District entered into discussions with Frey Water Engineering, Inc., regarding consulting services for utilization of the genetic algorithm (GA) optimization technique for master planning purposes. Based on these discussions, the District decided to undertake a pilot study of the GA optimization technique to determine if the method could enhance the District's planning efforts. This paper is a description of that pilot study.
