Full Description

The objectives of this paper are to modify the existing single train US Environmental Protection Agency Water Treatment Plant (WTP) model by updating existing algorithms and to extend the WTP model by adding new algorithms. The methods used and results are discussed for the following categories: coagulation; trihalomethane (THM) and haloacetic acid (HAA) formation; prechlorination; pre-rm; post-rm; bromate formation; biofiltration; post-sedimentation ozonation; preozonation; and, granular activated carbon.
