This standard applies to platformssuspended from the load lines of cranes orderricks in order to (1) perform work atelevations that cannot normally be reachedby other types of scaffolds or aerial workplatforms or (2) transport personnel toelevations where other means of access areunsafe or impractical because of design orworksite conditions.
