Full Description

This standard establishes a single set of testing and rating requirements for determining capacities, energy efficiencies (power input per ton, EER, or COP), water pressure drop, IPLV (integrated part load value), and NPLV (non-standard part load value) for water chilling packages using the vapor compression cycle; whereby, equipment performance ratings can be compared from product to product. The standard applies to chilling packages including one or more hermetic or open drive compressors (centrifugal, rotary screw, scroll, reciprocating, or other types), equipped with either water-cooled, air-cooled, evaporative-cooled condensers or supplied without a condenser.
