This standard establishes a single set of requirements for the testing and rating of cooling and heating capacities and energy efficiency ratios (EER for cooling an COP for heating) for factory-assembled packaged terminal air-conditioners (PTAC's) and packaged terminal heat pumps (PTHP's) used in residential, commercial, and industrial systems; whereby, equipment performance ratings can be compared from product to product.
